Yahoo Lifestyle Mark Consuelos' Daughter Lola Shares Rare Comment on His Career
Mark Consuelos is heading back to the big screen — and his kids are so excited about their dad's exciting news.
Back in January, news broke on Deadline that the Live With Kelly and Mark star would appear in the upcoming movie Scream 7. While folks watched as his wife Kelly Ripa grilled him for details on his new role, Mark has been tight-lipped about how he will show up in the movie. But he did make sure to share his excitement about the next venture in his career, as the actor went on Instagram to express how he felt about joining the well-loved collection of Scream movies.
"Honored to be part of this iconic franchise," he wrote on January 28, sharing a screenshot of the official Deadline announcement.
Shortly after the Riverdale alum dropped the major career news on social media, it didn't take long for his daughter Lola and son Michael to give rare online reactions in the comments. Given how Mark already shared they both love the Scream movies, it was pretty obvious they were ecstatic for their dad.
"You’re iconic ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫰🫰 and the most deserving," Lola heartily replied. "Literally the coolest thing ever 👏👏👏👏👏 👻," Michael added.
Just like his kids, Mark's followers were equally elated to know they'd get to see him in the next Scream installment.
"WOW, I'M INTRIGUED," one person wrote in the comments. "Awesome!! Can’t wait to see it 🔥🔥🙌😍," another exclaimed. "Hoping for an epic death scene ☠️ That is, unless you're the killer. 👻," a different follower penned.
Well, we love that Mark's kids are into the idea of him working on a comedy horror movie! And as it turns out, Mark isn't the only Riverdale star to appear in the hit movies. His former co-star Skeet Ulrich has appeared as Billy Loomis in multiple Scream films, with his most recent appearance being Scream VI in 2023.
Well, if this is how Lola and Michael are reacting to their dad's casting announcement, we can only imagine what they'll have to say when the movie comes out!
