Mariah Carey Brought Back Her Iconic '90s Curls Ahead of the Holidays
Just the Queen of Christmas giving the people what they want.
Mariah Carey's latest hairstyle has me feeling emotions, with nostalgia being at the top of list. On Friday, the singer was seen out and about in Colorado (where she typically spends the holidays) sporting a head full of her classic '90s curls that many consider just as legendary as her music.
While Carey mostly styles her hair in a glossy blowout with soft waves these days, she'll bring back her natural curls on occasion as a gift to her fans. And this Christmas season was no exception. As she was photographed walking around Aspen's city limits, the Grammy-winner wore her honey-colored spiral ringlets in a half-up, half-down hairstyle that cascaded over her shoulders and down to her waist. Carey teamed her iconic hair with a beige Louis Vuitton poncho, a white crochet maxi skirt, and a pair of coordinating suede platform boots.
Black, square-shaped sunglasses and a diamond bracelet on her wrist accessorized her wintery outfit, while her glam included a pink glossy lip, flushed cheeks, and a bronzy glow.
The next day, Carey's curls were gone, as she hit the shops with sleek pin-straight strands. With her new hairstyle also came a new outfit—and this time, the musician wore a festive red sweater dress with a dramatic collar that showed off her diamond "MC" necklace underneath. She finished accessorizing with a white Chanel beanie that matched not only her gloves, but also her knee-high boots and Prada sunglasses.
