Margaret is nominated for Best Supporting Female Actor alongside a bunch of buzzy celebs, including Zoe Saldaña for Emilia Pérez, Ariana Grande for Wicked, Selena Gomez for Emilia Pérez, Felicity Jones for The Brutalist, and Isabella Rossellini for Conclave. Her The Substance costar Demi Moore is also nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.
Margaret spoke about working with Demi to People, saying, “I’m like everybody else—I’ve been a big fan of Demi’s for a long time.” She also noted that G.I. Jane “is one of my favorite movies ever” and said, “I read her autobiography and I think Demi’s one of those people where she’s very open and warm, so she makes you feel like you know them right away. That was my experience.”
Meanwhile, Margaret told Who that “Demi and I were just total teammates throughout this whole movie—still are. SoI think more than anything what we needed from each other was just each other’s support, just having each other’s back and holding each other’s hand as we walked through this.”
