Anthony is nominated for two Latin Grammys this year: best salsa album for his 11th studio effort, “Muevense,” and best shot form music video for “Ale Ale.”
“A new Marc Anthony album is always cause for celebration,” Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote in an essay about “Muevense.” “It speaks to the timelessness and consistency of his voice and his musical collaborators that at any moment you can turn on any radio station and within the same commercial-free music block, hear a song he recorded last year next to a song he recorded 30 years ago,” “He is our Sinatra, and when we hear him, we also hear the echoes of all the unforgettable moments in our own lives.”
The 25th annual Latin Grammys ceremony will take place in Miami on Nov. 14 and be broadcast via Univision, Galavisión, and ViX. The show will be preceded by a one-hour premiere ceremony where most of the award winners will be revealed.
Performers for the main telecast include Alejandro Fernández, Ángela Aguilar, Anitta, DJ Khaled, Joe Jonas, Jon Bon Jovi, Juan Luis Guerra, Kali Uchis, Pitbull and many more.
