Fashion designer’s heartbreaking tragedy
Aussie fashion designer Louise Owen has tragically lost her only son.
Jackson Owen was just 23 when he died on November 17, with his mother – the creative director of fashion brand elaurante – sharing the news in a heartbreaking post to Facebook.
“There are no words to describe how we feel … however our love for Jackson will go on forever and he will never be forgotten,” Ms Owen wrote.
“Jackson you have a huge heart and a love that is so big … your smile and laughter is infectious.
“You are a true gentlemen, so loving, loyal, generous and caring.
“For those who know how big your heart is and how much you love … it is a privilege and honour to have received this precious gift from you.”
Ms Owen described Jackson as “gorgeous” and “gifted in so many ways”.
“You have taught us so much is such a short time … how to always be kind, loving and caring to everyone,” she wrote.
“How to treat everyone equally and with dignity and respect.
“You are the epitome of pure love, kindness and generosity and you have given it in spades.”
She said her son never wanted to create “a big fuss”, writing that loved ones will instead gather to make “a little fuss” about him at one of his favourite places during a service next week.
“We will love and miss you forever my darling,” she wrote.
People flocked to the comments to express their sadness over the news.
“I’m so devastated to hear of your loss of your beautiful Jackson. Such a wonderful, kind and gentle young man. May he rest in peace in the arms of the angels,” one person wrote.
“I met your beautiful boy, and was so impressed by him — such a gorgeous young man. Forever in our hearts. My biggest love to you and family,” another added.
“Our hearts are breaking for you. So terribly sad,” wrote another.
