MAFS star praised for 'classy' response to ex's major announcement
The former TV couple appear to have a very different relationship two years on from the reality show.
While some Married At First Sight exes choose to take some not-so-subtle social media digs at one another after the show ends, there are a handful of former couples who prove that you can stay friends with an ex. Season nine’s Domenica Calarco and Jack Millar are perhaps one of the best examples of this, with the podcast host recently taking on the role of “aunty” for Jack’s child with his girlfriend Courtney Stubbs.
It appears Dom and Jack’s co-stars Selin Mengu and Anthony Cincotta can also be added to the list of friendly MAFS exes following their wholesome social media interaction this week. In case you need a refresher, the couple appeared on the show in 2022 and had a fairytale wedding but quickly fell apart at the honeymoon, stayed in separate rooms, and later got into an argument about splitting a McDonald’s receipt.

Anthony took to social media on Monday to announce that he and his girlfriend Kate, who he began dating shortly after he finished filming the reality show in late 2021, are now engaged.
“So I planned a cheeky weekend getaway but with an ulterior motive. Let's keep making magic together, being husband and wife. I love you,” he wrote alongside a gallery of snaps together in Sydney.
Anthony tells Yahoo Lifestyle that he and Kate had enjoyed a “romantic day out in Sydney” and he popped the question on the steps of the Sydney Opera House as the sun was setting.
“While she was taking pictures of the Sydney Harbour bridge I got down on one knee and waited for her to turn around,” he details. “It was probably the most nerve-wracking experience of my life.
“I had it planned for a while. I even took Kate's mum with me to help pick out the ring, so it all worked out beautifully.”
Selin's 'classy' response to Anthony's engagement
Despite ending MAFS on a bad note, Selin took to the comments to send her well wishes to Anthony and his new fiancée.
“Congrats guys!” she wrote, which one fan applauded for being a “very classy” response.
Anthony tells Yahoo Lifestyle he thought it was a kind gesture for Selin to comment, saying: “Selin and I are friends. Because of MAFS, we'll always tied together. It was nice to see her comment.”

Several MAFS participants also shared congratulatory messages, including Bryce Ruthven, Mel Sheppard and Jackson Lonie.
“Congrats @anthonycincotta_ very happy for you, mate,” Josh White commented, while Selina Chhaur said, “Aw congratulations guys”.
“Congrats guys! So happy for you,” Sandy Jawanda added, followed by Matt Ridley who shared, “Congratulations Kate and Anthony!! Love love love this so much!!”.
Anthony’s engagement comes less than a week after season six groom Nic Jovanovic, who was paired with Cyrell Paule in the experiment, announced that he and his partner Alex Caldwell are engaged.
