Married At First Sight's Ryan Gallagher has revealed he walked 150km unaware he was sick with Covid-19, believing his symptoms to be heatstroke.
The 33-year-old took to Instagram to share a photo of two rapid antigen tests that indeed confirmed he was positive.
"Just finished 150km walk from Newcastle to Sydney for breast cancer in 3 days in 32 degree heat," he wrote.
"Shivering and shaking in bed the nights thinking it was heat stroke, turns out I just had Uncle Covid on the walk with me.
"I did a test at the end for s***s and giggles not thinking I had it at all, I wanted a group photo everyone declined."
In one photo, Ryan was lying in bed with a wet washcloth on his forehead to help his fever.
Ryan was doing the walk to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.
"Wishing you a speedy recovery you sexy human," the Bachelorette's Apollo Jackson wrote.
Singer Jason Owen, who spent New Year's Eve with Ryan commented: "Far out sounds like I better get tested also!! Get well soon champion!!"
Responding to a follower's comment, Ryan revealed he hasn't returned to his parent's farm yet and is waiting until he's negative as he doesn't want his mum and dad getting sick.
"What an effort- walking that far and with COVID. What a legend!!" a follower commented.
Many people were shocked that he was able to complete the walk while sick with Covid.
"Oh man. I'm not sure how you did it man," one user wrote. "I currently have Covid and just walking up the stairs takes so much out of me. Feel better!!"
"Can’t believe no one wanted a photo! Wishing you a speedy recovery!" another joked.
