MAFS' Richard subtly shades Andrea as he hard-launches new relationship

Married At First Sight's Richard Sauerman has found love again post MAFS, looking all smiles as he hard-launched his new relationship with a woman named Margie. While Richard uploaded a shot of the pair wearing a matching look last night, according to Margie's profile the two have been dating for at least two months, as she uploaded a photo with the MAFS groom on April 18.

"Date night - looking weirdly like twins 😂," Richard captioned the selfie with his new love, as the two were decked out in black shirts and similar light brown/beige jackets and both wearing black-rimmed glasses.

The photo led to some confusion among fans, with some people pointing out the couple looked alike. "Daughter?" one person questioned, with another saying, "I thought it was his younger sister as they look alike. Oops, sorry."

"Why do they have the same smile?" someone else questioned, with Richard simply replying to the people questioning the nature of the relationship with laughing emojis.

Richard's subtle diss to ex Andrea

As fans congratulated Richard on his new relationship, one person left a cattier comment referencing his relationship with MAFS ex Andrea Thompson, saying, "Lovely! She doesn't look moody like the chook you had on MAFS," with Richard replying, "She’s not 😂."

While on MAFS, Richard and Andrea started out strong, but things quickly fell apart weeks into the experiment after Richard was vocal about their intimacy, with Andrea feeling embarrassed by his behaviour. This led to a disconnect within the couple that couldn't be resolved, with the two calling it quits before final vows.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this year, Richard described his relationship with Andie as civil.

“Andie and I today, we're not enemies, we’re not friends, we’re just two people that shared a really amazing experience, a very unusual experience,” he says. “We’ll always have that in common, and that's it.”
