MAFS' Olivia reveals exactly how much she was paid on the show

The season nine bride has spilled the tea.

If you’ve ever wondered just how much participants are paid to appear on Married At First Sight, Olivia Frazer has provided the answer.

The season nine bride answered plenty of fan questions about her time on the show during an Instagram Q&A, including one about how much money she earned.

Olivia claimed that contestants were paid “$1,100 per week” during filming, which took place over a few months in Sydney.

Her comments come shortly after fellow bride Domenica Calarco went live on TikTok and claimed that she was paid “$150 a day”, an amount another bride anonymously confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle.

“I still had bills, had to pay my rent, and I had to pay, you know, whatever,” Domenica remarked.

Appearing on the Kyle & Jackie O Show, Domenica said she did not get paid enough for what she went through and her salary was “about minimum wage”.

‘It’s rubbish’

Season five MAFS star Telv Williams also previously claimed that he was also paid $150 a day during filming and they had to purchase their own clothes for the dinner parties and commitment ceremonies.

“You gotta do all your own hair and makeup,” he said. “You gotta do your own dress, buy your own clothes.

“You get paid $150 a day, tax-free. It's s**t, it's rubbish. Everything is off your own f**king back.”

Meanwhile, former TV groom Nasser Sultan explained to Now To Love that contestants “get a per diem” on the show, so they’re receiving money for the cost of living expenses instead of being “paid for work”.
