MAFS' Martha Kalifatidis announces 'exciting' career move: 'Took so long'

Less than a week after she and Michael Brunelli announced their engagement, Martha Kalifatidis has revealed her latest career venture.

The former Married At First Sight bride announced on Thursday that she has launched her debut podcast, Swipe Up, with her best friend Roj Torabi.

Each week the duo, who have both built strong careers on social media as beauty influencers, will share their hot takes on various products, procedures and treatments.

The Diamantina Media-produced podcast will also see the pair give skincare masterclasses and share their candid guide to all things beauty, food, lifestyle, sex and relationships.

“The best part about this podcast is that there are no rules. We say what we want, we do what we want and no one is stopping us. There is no brief and I can’t tell you how happy that makes me!” Martha said in a statement.

“I think it’s all well and good to have a chat about something on Instagram but it’s limiting in that a person needs to be seated, holding their screen to their face watching slide after slide of what you say,” Roj added.

“But what if they want to tune into the conversation as part of a busy life when things are all over the place and they’re on the go? That’s why we needed Swipe Up. We wanted our audiences to feel they could have us with them regardless of where or what they are doing.”

The Celebrity Apprentice star took to Instagram on Thursday to talk more about the “super exciting” project shortly after the first episode went live.

“Podcasting is hard, it took us so long to just make it work,” she admitted.

“We cover everything from like, what’s my skin type? What moisturiser should I use? To like, which BBL [Brazilian Butt Lift] should I get?”

She went on to say that the show’s Instagram page, @swipeupthepod, will allow her and Roj to chat with their audience more intimately and also post videos of their various treatments.

“Also, we have teamed up with Chemist Warehouse so every week we are going to be recommending some products that we select,” she continued. “So stay tuned for that, keep an eye out for that.”

Martha’s major announcement comes a few days after she and her fiancé Michael jetted off to Los Angeles to celebrate their engagement.

The reality TV couple took to Instagram on Sunday to share their major relationship news, posting a selfie with the simple caption, “Mrs B.”

A number of the pair’s followers rushed to the comments to celebrate their engagement, including Martha’s mum Mary who jokingly wrote, “Congratulations Michael the pressure is finally off now”.
