MAFS' Lizzie Sobinoff reveals scary hospital dash: 'Things weren’t right'
Former MAFS bride Lizzie was rushed to hospital with a postpartum infection.
MAFS star Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Sobinoff has detailed her scary hospital dash, just weeks after giving birth to her first child. Lizzie, who first found fame on the 2019 series of the Channel 9 reality TV show, took to her Instagram account to update her followers about her ‘miserable’ past few days.
Lizzie posted a series of hospital bed selfies alongside the caption: “Found out I had some very nasty bugs living in me from birth. So happy I have my answers.
“I had an infection for all the duration of my postpartum and my results had come back from a swab that resulted in a phone call on Friday afternoon stating that I needed to go to hospital for 6 days and be on a drip of antibiotics (I had been on oral antibiotics a couple of weeks earlier but the infection didn’t budge). The bugs I have could lead to ICU stay if not treated and very scary consequences if they reach my organs.”
Lizzie went on to say that she “should have spoke up earlier that things weren’t right” but she “just didn’t know what to expect postpartum”.
“Still, at least they found the bugs before something really bad could have happened to me,” she said.
