While the finale of this year’s season of Married at First Sight aired more than six months ago, its contestants’ various antics continue to spark interest among the mass audience the show attracted.

This time it’s Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant’s upcoming wedding that’s in the spotlight due to their apparent decision to axe castmate Melissa Lucarelli from the bridal party, and now an unlikely fourth player as entered the game.

It’s the drama starter herself, Jess Powers who has weighed in on the matter, in a surprising Instagram post.

The former villain shared her thoughts on the situation and it’s the formerly untouchable Jules who is on the roasting spit.

“I actually have to back Mel on this,” Jess captioned her post.

“Throughout filming, Jules would say Martha and I were only there for social media and endorsements, but since the show ended it seems that's all Jules is for also.”

The biting comment comes after Jules and Cam were revealed to have been pursuing endorsements with brands to cut costs on their upcoming televised wedding.

They were turned down by at least one brand according to The Daily Mail.

Jess didn’t stop there, blasting Jules as self-serving.

“It's really sad to see that Jules dropped Mel as a bridesmaid but not surprising, it seems everything that woman does these days is calculated and beneficial for her and her only,” she wrote.

Off-screen split

The revelation that revealed the feud was made by the now ex-bridesmaid to NW, before she admitted the dismissal was ‘a shock’ to deal with.

"One day we were texting about family and babies, then two days later she was dumping me as a bridesmaid," Mel told the publication.

The reality TV alum—who was matched with Dino Hira on the show—went on to say she’s now been led to believe Jules’ display of support was all for show.

According to Mel, the bride-to-be went so far as to admit this in a text detailing her decision to switch up the bridal party.

"Just ‘cause I said it on a show doesn't mean I have to do it," Jules’ message allegedly read.

Unexplained axing

Unsurprisingly, Mel was quick to question the reason behind her pal’s decision—attempts which were unfortunately unsuccessful.

"When I asked her how I was a bad friend she couldn't answer me, then kept changing her reasoning behind it,” she said.

“Now Cam and Jules are making money, she doesn't need me anymore and she also doesn't want me to get any publicity."

Yahoo Lifestyle has contacted Jules for comment.

The onscreen couple became engaged for real during the show’s finale and remain the only expert-matched pair from the series who have not separated.

But last month Jules revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle the couple’s nuptials were postponed until next year because of their jam-packed schedule.
