They’re the picture-perfect couple who fell in love and became engaged for real on this year’s Married At First Sight.

And now Cam Merchant has signalled he and fiancée Jules Robinson are preparing to become parents—hopefully sooner rather than later.

Ready to be parents

The couple’s well-documented desire to start a family resurfaced on Sunday when soccer coach Cam shared a photo of his partner with her brother’s near-newborn baby girl.

“Think I just got a brief look into my future,” he wrote beneath the happy snap, before confirming Jules was in fact ‘not pregnant’.

In the photo, the 38-year-old appears joyous as she cradles her niece while feeding the youngster a bottle of milk.

Fans were also quick to point out how comfortable Jules appeared with the baby, writing just how well suited the duo would be to the job.

“You and Cam will make amazing parents,” wrote one follower, adding the look “suited” Jules well.

“She will make an amazing mum,” another added. “So beautiful inside and out.”

Taking the next step

And while both have previously expressed a desire to one day be parents, a - now-postponed - wedding will be the next big milestone in the onscreen spouses’ relationship.

The nuptials’ delay was revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this month which Jules said was simply due to the couple’s otherwise jam-packed year.

“We were originally planning on getting married on our first anniversary [of their MAFS wedding] but it was too much too soon and we just thought ‘that’s not going to happen’,” she said.

“It was a romantic gesture and we booked a venue on that and ended up losing our $5,000 deposit but I just thought—yeah that’s not going to happen anymore.”
