MAFS fans react to unexpected detail during couple's fight: 'I'm screaming'

It was the reality TV crossover we didn't know we needed.

During last night's episode of Married At First Sight Australia, we watched as Michael Felix and Stephen Stewart reckoned with the state of their marriage after Stephen admitted to feeling a 'spark' with his hairdresser.

The couple had a devastating exchange in which Stephen admitted that he didn't feel a physical attraction to his husband and wasn't sure that he could see it moving past a friendship with Michael being, understandably, upset.

While the latest development in the pair's relationship is disappointing to see given how strongly they started out, fans of the show were somewhat distracted from the drama thanks to Michael rocking an extremely iconic (and, somewhat meta) T-shirt during the fight.

The T-shirt in question featured a very famous meme of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong screaming as Kyle Richards tries to calm her down, with an angry-looking white cat appearing to be the object of her fury.

In reality, it was fellow RHOBH star Camille Meyer who was on the receiving end of Taylor's rage during a 2011 episode of the series.

Of course, the internet being the truly wonderful place it is, someone took the cat photo (which originated on Tumblr courtesy of user 'deadbefordeath') and added it to the scene and voila! Meme history was made.

MAFS viewers were delighted with the unexpected reality TV crossover, with many taking to Twitter/X to praise Michael's sartorial choices.

"Nice t-shirt tho, Michael," wrote one user.

"CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE SHIRT MICHAEL WAS WEARING DURING THIS INCIDENT I'M SCREAMING," posted another in all caps.

SHOP:

"Michael’s shirt couldn’t be more perfect bc we were all rooting for you," said another.

"Loving Michael's shirt," someone else simply wrote.

And, although it looks as though Michael's time on MAFS may soon be coming to an end, there could be more reality TV opportunities in his future with one person demanding, "Get Michael and Sara onto a Real Housewives franchise STAT!"

And honestly? We'd love to see it!
