MAFS fans 'betrayed' by fan favourite Dave Thomas Hand after partner swap: 'He's changed'
After the forced partner swap with Veronica, Dave broke Jamie's heart on Wednesday night's episode of MAFS.
MAFS viewers have turned on fan favourite Dave Thomas Hand after he confirmed his wife Jamie Marinos' worst fears about their relationship and their lack of physical intimacy. It came after the pair had to do a partner swap for 'Feedback Week', where they could learn about how to progress their relationships by being paired with another bride or groom to offer advice.
Dave and Jamie have been fan favourites since the beginning, with fans loving Dave, who they describe as a 'gentle giant'. However, they have quickly turned on him this week after a major confrontation between him and his 'wife'.
MAFS' Dave confirms Jamie's worst fears about his attraction after couple swap with Veronica
For Feedback Week Jamie was paired with Adrian Araouzou, while Dave was partnered with Veronica Cloherty, who took every chance to tell the cameras that she and Dave would have been a better match than she was with Eliot Donovan. During Jamie's time with Adrian, she asked why he thought Dave might not be as receptive to physical intimacy, saying she would prefer to have a much more active sex life than they do.
This conversation led Adrian to tell Jamie that he felt that Dave wasn't physically attracted to her.
"He’s pretty much telling me I’m too ugly to root," Jamie told the cameras. "This is a hard thought to ponder. But I appreciate him being honest."
When they were back together, Jamie confronted Dave about why he doesn't want to have sex and why he never initiates it.
"When it is constantly me, it starts to make me feel an imbalance. I want to know we both want to be with each other that way. Do you maybe have doubts?" she asked, with Dave saying that his sex drive just isn't matched with hers, adding it was "really confronting" to have her question his feelings for her.

"I need reassurance. I feel like that conversation didn't give me that reassurance," she pushed.
Dave explained sex wasn't as important to him in a relationship, adding, "You said you loved me six weeks into this. I'm not there."
"Are we having a lack of sex because we're not in the love stage? Yes or no," Jamie said.
After taking a second to consider, and likely feeling pushed to give an answer, he said, "Yes," confirming Jamie's worst fears.
"This is the first time in the experiment I've questioned whether Dave and I will work," Jamie said in a piece to camera.
We then see in the preview for Wednesday's dinner party that the pair show up solo.
MAFS fans turn on Dave: 'Feel so bad for Jamie'

"Dave is disappointing me [not gonna lie]," another wrote on X.
"I feel so betrayed by Dave," a third said. "That just hurts. I thought he was such a nice guy! But that's not cool what he's doing to Jamie. I feel for her. She doesn't deserve that. At all."
"I’m honestly so confused," someone else said. "It feels like Dave has been replaced by another person we don’t recognise."
"As soon as ‘love’ came into it he has changed do much," another said. "He looks defeated."
"See ya later, Dave... he was too good to be true," one former fan wrote.
"He's portraying a completely different personality in the last week or so," someone else said. "How does someone just change like that?"
"Bet something happened between Dave and Veronica," another theorised. "Poor Jamie."
"Something happened between Dave and Veronica that wasn’t filmed for sure," another agreed.
Why didn't Dave say 'I love you'?
Jamie recently told Yahoo Lifestyle that she and Dave were moving at a different pace in the experiment because of what was happening in his personal life. The fan-favourite groom had previously shared at his wedding that his father was in hospital battling cancer and was undergoing his fourth round of chemotherapy.

"Dave was going through a bit of a hard time during filming. He mentioned in our wedding episode his dad was unfortunately unwell, and so he was actually going back to Melbourne for a couple of days to visit him," Jamie detailed.
"It was a very tough go for Dave because he’s in this experiment but also, his mind was at home too. It was just this constant balancing act of being a good husband but also trying to process everything that's going on in and out of the experiment."
