MAFS fans accuse Paul and Carina of going 'too far' during intimacy week task: 'Awful to watch'
MAFS' intimacy week is even racier than previous seasons with Carina stepping out of her comfort zone with 'husband' Paul.
MAFS stars Carina Mirabile and Paul Antoine's 'marriage' seems to be going swimmingly so far. The pair, who knew each other before their wedding, are currently one of the stronger relationships on the show, with some fans labelling them their "favourite" couple on the show.
After MAFS expert Alessandra Rampolla instructs the women to take charge during intimacy week and create their own perfect date for their partners. "This has to be your own fantasy night," she tells the group. "You get to choose, you get to decide."
MAFS' Carina gets out of her 'comfort zone' for racy date with Paul
Carina and Jamie Marinos went shopping for lingerie to wear for their date nights, with Carina telling the cameras, "In my previous relationships I have always played more of the submissive role, but now I'm going to have full control, which I'm excited about."
She tried on a black lingerie set, with Jamie telling her she was "giving dom vibes", to which Carina said, "I feel strong, I feel confident."
Jamie joked that she and Paul might have the first MAFS baby if Carina wore the look.
When Paul saw Carina in the lingerie, he was stunned, telling her, "God damn, Jesus Christ, f**k me! Wow."
"Tonight is all about showing my dominance, and really trying to take the approach of not being submissive towards Paul," Carina told the cameras. "I'm definitely out of my comfort zone, but I'm happy about it, I'm comfortable and I'm doing it with someone I really care about. Honestly, it's a really nice feeling."

MAFS fans slam Carina and Paul's intimacy week act
MAFS fans, however, were not so into the scene, with one user writing, "I just don’t understand why 'intimacy week' means women getting half naked and men showing up in their hoodies and ripped jeans…"
"'Female empowerment', it's just inappropriate for daytime TV, sorry," another said.
"Should this really be filmed for everyone to see?" a third asked.
"She's stunning," someone else said. "I would cringe so hard knowing my family is watching this."
"Umm that was awful to watch sorry, completely unnecessary," another added.
"This episode was painful on so many levels," one person agreed.
"I just cringed so hard I've turned inside out," another joked.
Some called it a "shocking episode" and "embarrassing", with many calling out Channel Nine for airing it.
"I miss the version of myself before I watched that," someone else quipped.
"You've lost me tonight... turned off," one added.
"I'm not a prude by any means, but I think the producers have gone to far with this," another wrote. "Having the women out shopping for lingerie, then filming scenes like this is to the point of exploiting women... There's no respect here."

Others defended Carina, with one viewer writing, "Wow the whinging above is boring. It’s intimacy week are you expecting them to sit and text each other? Good on her, that took guts to dress and behave like that in front of a crowd."
"Gee the amount of people in the comments acting as though they’re being forced to watch the show," another said.
"I'm all for it!" a third wrote. "She's beautiful, so is he... don't like it? Don't watch it."
"Yeah a little cringy, but damn girl if I looked that good I'd be on my lingerie on national TV too," another said.
