MAFS editing fail reveals bride’s dramatic walk off: 'Want to go home'
She made her Married At First Sight debut on Monday night, but it appears that intruder Kate Laidlaw won’t be sticking around for very long in the experiment.
The 38-year-old bride, who said ‘I do’ to groom Matt Ridley, is seemingly set to walk off the show thanks to a blink-and-you-miss-it editing fail earlier on in the season.
Yahoo Lifestyle can reveal that during the first episode, an opening supercut trailer featured Kate storming out of a dinner party.
She was shown wearing a white gown and tan heels walking alongside fellow participant Domenica Calarco, who was dressed in a grey two-piece outfit and black shoes.
“I just want to go home, I just want to go home,” she was heard sobbing while walking through the show’s warehouse.

A second shot in the teaser video saw Kate in tears while sitting on the commitment ceremony couch and wiping her eyes with a tissue, also suggesting that her marriage doesn’t work out.
Alongside the footage, a voice-over declared that this year’s experiment “gets even more personal and more intense than ever before”.
‘Certain bits have been conveniently left out’
The apparent ‘spoiler’ comes shortly after fellow bride Samantha Moitzi revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that the premiere episode’s supercut trailer also featured footage of herself and Al Perkins that didn’t actually end up airing on TV.
While the couple was portrayed as having no physical connection whatsoever during their honeymoon, Samantha pointed out that they did share a kiss but it just wasn’t shown.
“I’m a little bit disappointed that certain bits have been conveniently left out,” she said.
“Like, there was a promo video of us kissing in the river on our honeymoon, and then the only thing they showed from the honeymoon is when we didn't kiss. I was like, ‘Oh, we fully had a moment’.”
Married At First Sight airs at 7pm on Sunday and 7:30pm on Monday to Wednesday on Channel Nine and 9Now.
