MAFS' Cyrell slams Michael after his dig at Olivia: 'You're a hypocrite'

Their ‘feud’ may have kicked off back in 2019 when they both appeared on season six of Married At First Sight, but it appears as though things between Cyrell Paule and Michael Brunelli are still very tense.

The controversial bride, who is often referred to as ‘Cyclone Cyrell’, wasn’t afraid to call out the personal trainer on Monday night after he made a dig towards current participant Olivia Frazer and her self-proclaimed lack of empathy.

Michael had shared a photo of himself looking confused on his Instagram Story alongside the caption: “Me, a former teacher, trying to figure out how someone who doesn’t have the emotional intelligence to feel empathy wants to become a teacher…”

Cyrell was seemingly unimpressed by her former TV rival’s remarks, re-sharing the photo on her own Instagram Story and labelling Michael as a “hypocrite”.

“Don’t speak too soon buddy,” she wrote on top of the original post.

“Says the guy who also showed absolutely no emotional intelligence to feel empathy when his partner and himself were aware that people were being cheated on… Wouldn’t be such a hypocrite there ex-teacher.”

In a series of follow-up stories, Cyrell continued to take aim at Michael and clarified her feelings towards Olivia’s behaviour.

“Before you point your finger, make sure your hand is clean,” she added. “And just so we are clear… For the people in the back, this does not mean in any way I’m defending what Olivia has done. My point being... I hate hypocrites.

“The both of you being school teachers, you would think you both would know what BULLYING is! Neither of you shows any attributes or qualities that a REAL teacher should be teaching their pupils.

“So to put to an end. Olivia this does not make us friends, Michael you’re a hypocrite, and imma go to sleep now.”

‘Olivia is ruining the f**king effects’

Cyrell’s explosive posts come shortly after Michael’s partner Martha Kalifatidis also slammed Olivia’s lack of empathy on her own social media.

The influencer had shared a step-by-step tutorial on how to make a drink that helps her get to sleep when she took a swipe at the controversial bride.

“This drink is so good, the chilli is everything,” she said on the couch while watching Sunday night’s episode of MAFS. “But Olivia is ruining the f**king effects because I’m not calm watching this.”

She also shared her direct thoughts about Olivia’s comments in the caption on the video, writing: “‘I have no empathy’… Um sorry!”

Married At First Sight airs at 7pm on Sunday and 7:30pm on Monday to Wednesday on Channel Nine and 9Now.
