MAFS couple reportedly paid $3,000 to stay on the show after fight
Tensions reached boiling point between Holly Greenstein and Andrew Davis during Confessions Week on Married At First Sight, with the Texan groom threatening to quit at the end of Tuesday night’s episode, but a new report has claimed that there’s a major reason why neither of them has left the experiment yet.
The controversial couple were reportedly paid a large sum of money to extend their time on the show following their explosive war of words, a source tells Daily Mail.
“When Andrew walked away he was offered $3,000 to stay an extra week, as was Holly,” the insider claimed.
“Contestants are usually paid $1,000 a week, so you know things are pretty intense when they offer them almost triple for more days of filming.”
The source went on to claim that there is “more to the scandal that would never make it to air”, but the 36-year-old cinema manager reluctantly agreed to stay on as long as her ‘husband’ stayed in another apartment.

The reports come shortly after the pair had a very heated argument following a letter writing task where they revealed their deepest confessions to one another.
Following Holly’s letter detailing her strong desire to have a baby and her fear of missing out due to her age, Andrew said it was “too much pressure” for him and he began to distance himself.
Things went from bad to worse during the photo ranking task - where they had to rank the other brides and grooms in order of attractiveness - and Holly unleashed her true feelings towards her partner.
“You were very charming for the first few days of our honeymoon, you were charming on our wedding day. I fell for you, I slept with you, I was invested in you,” she told him, initially putting his photo ahead of the other grooms.
“Now you're giving me no attention, you’re giving me no warmth, and you do not make me feel good enough or attractive enough,” she continued, placing him in second place behind Brent.
The couple then began arguing, with Andrew saying he didn’t care about her feelings because he was simply honest while Holly was unable to look at him while she expressed her frustration with his behaviour.
“I am f**king having a conversation here and you’re not listening,” she yelled, finally snapping at his constant interruptions. “This is why I told you you’re not capable of letting me finish a sentence.”
Andrew proceeded to leave the room, telling the producers that he was going home to see his daughter and they could send him his things in the mail.
Married At First Sight continues Sunday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
