MAFS contestant busted telling blatant lie
Married At First Sight contestant Sam Ball had a lot of explaining to do last night when he finally turned up at the dinner party after practically ghosting TV wife Elizabeth.
After attending the funeral of his ex-wife’s mother, the model had failed to make any communication with Elizabeth, leaving the 27-year-old wondering if their relationship even had a future.
And when he rocked up unannounced at the dinner party, he struggled to escape the big questions. What’s more, he got caught telling a big fib in the process.
When Sam said there was no way to communicate with Elizabeth while he was away, his partner told him, “I left a voicemail”.
“On what?” he casually responded, to which Elizabeth said, “Your phone”.
“I don’t have a voicemail. There’s no voicemail showing on my phone. I’ll prove it, I’ll get my phone out and show you,” Sam retorted.
However, he didn’t actually muster up the courage to whip out his phone and prove anyone else wrong.
In fact, Elizabeth did that for him. In a piece-to-camera, she dialled his number and put his personalised voicemail message on loud speaker for viewers to hear.
“The kid said he doesn’t have a voicemail,” she said with a smirk.
Sam, didn’t anyone tell you one of the first rules of marriage is honesty?
Married At First Sight continues on Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.
