MAFS’ Cam and Jules poke fun at TV game show appearance: ‘Horrendous’

Married At First Sight’s power couple Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson have poked fun at themselves after their latest TV appearance on a reality TV special episode of The Weakest Link.

The pair competed in the Channel Nine quiz show against The Bachelorette’s Ali Oetjen, Love Island’s Erin Barnett, LEGO Masters’ Kale Frost, Australian Ninja Warrior’s Zak Stolz, and Mark & Victoria Fren from Travel Guides.

Jules was ultimately crowned the winner on Tuesday night after answering just one question in the final showdown and took to social media shortly after to make fun of herself.

“The most unworthy winner,” she wrote on Instagram alongside laughing emojis. “But I still won! The lights! The sound! Magda staring at you! You just go blank!”

Cam also made fun of his efforts and posted his reaction to the hilarious episode on his Instagram Story.

“On behalf of everyone, I just want to apologise for the absurd and ridiculous, horrendous amount of questions that were answered that were wrong,” he said.

“But congratulations to my wife on winning The Weakest Link and becoming the strongest link,” he continued.

“Wow, that was an experience. I’m usually the guy on the other end watching TV going, ‘How do you not know that?’. And unfortunately, I just happened to be that person. So I apologise to anyone.”

Cam also jokingly wrote on the post alongside a facepalm emoji: “If anyone needs us for trivia nights, we are available.”

The sole question that Jules answered correctly was, “Which American city is sometimes referred to as ‘Gotham’ and ‘the city that never sleeps’?”, with the answer being New York City.

Host Magda Szubanski didn’t hold back when making fun of the pair after they answered almost every question incorrectly.

“Hopefully you will stay together after that debacle,” she remarked.

Jules ended up leaving the show with $14,450 for her chosen charity, Share the Dignity, and said that she is happy that she won but is also “quite embarrassed”.
