Love was well and truely in the air in Sydney on Sunday night, as Married at First Sight alumns Cam and Jules celebrated a ‘real’ engagement party with family and friends.

The couple got together for the glamorous event at the plush Acre Eatery in Camperdown, with several of their fellow co-stars of the series also in attendance.

Jules looked stunning in a golden dress, while Cam wore a navy three-piece suit.

Also there were Jules' bridesmaids Melissa Lucarelli and Heidi Latcham, as well as Elizabeth Sobinoff, Billy Vincent, Mick Gould and Cyrell Paule with new beau Eden.

The highlight of the night was a fiery first dance prepared by the couple.

The “brilliant” choreographed dance sent the crowd wild, and Jules later shared some videos of the moment to her instagram.

Bridesmaids

Former cricketer Cam got down on one knee at the end of the series, and the couple wasted no time in getting to work on their upcoming nuptials.

A date was quickly set and is fast approaching, with the lovebirds due to tie the knot on the first anniversary of their TV wedding, on September 20.

“We’re going to get married this year,” Jules told 9Honey. “We’ll get married after a year, then have a baby in another year. The sooner the better for me.”

Earlier this month Jules revealed that two of her MAFS co-stars will be in the bridal party, with Heidi Latcham and Melissa Lucarelli serving as bridesmaids.

Both Mel and Heidi joined in the celebrations at the engagement party, mingling with some of Jules’ other friends.

Challenges

Last week Jules took to Instagram to reveal everything wasn’t all roses, as some people might think, explaining the 'seriously' challenging aspects to the pair’s unconventional relationship.

“Even though I was in a strong relationship, this was seriously testing for so many reasons,” she wrote in the lengthy post.

She went on to thank Cam for “being there every step” as they moved from the “bubble wrap” of the TV series to the “real world”.

“May we continue to stand by each other in every test that may come our way,” she concluded the post.
