MAFS' Caitlin and Janelle reveal how the show helped them find love
EXCLUSIVE: The season 10 brides spill on their new relationships.
They were two of the first participants to leave this year’s season of Married At First Sight after failing to find love with their on-screen partners, but Caitlin McConville and Janelle Han are single no more.
The former TV brides have both gone public with new relationships since the reality show finished airing in April, telling Yahoo Lifestyle that MAFS ultimately did help them find love.
“For me, I'm a huge believer in the universe’s path and everything happens for a reason,” Caitlin shares.
“After I left the experiment, I had quit my job to go on MAFS so I needed a new job. And I stumbled across a job ad for a certain company and I applied and I met my partner there, which was so funny. I literally said to someone, ‘Maybe this is where I'll meet my next partner’, and I did.”

While Caitlin says she and her now-boyfriend Kobe had an “instant connection” when they first met in November, they didn’t officially start dating until months later.
“For me, I wasn't too sure how the airing of MAFS was gonna go, how it was gonna impact my life afterwards and impact me mentally and all that sort of stuff having to rewatch it on TV,” she explains.
“He was a blessing. I think it was very hard for him to watch certain parts of it, I think he got a bit emotional when I was getting a bit emotional. But he was such a good support person and a really good rock.”
She continues: “In the past, I haven't really had, I would say, normal healthy relationships. So this is whole new territory for me, it’s really good.”
Janelle's relationship update
Janelle is also thankful to the reality show for leading her to her new partner, who she met on a night out with her co-stars Josh White, Dan Hunjas and Harrison Boon.
“My boyfriend recognised me from the show and that's what made him want to approach me,” she reveals. “His line to me was he went up to some girls that I was talking to, some fans I guess, and he asked them if they were fangirling. That was his pickup line!
“I think the only episode he had seen with me on it was the episode I found out [about the cheating scandal] when I was crying and all that.”

Janelle adds that she and her boyfriend dated “for a while” before becoming official just a few weeks ago.
“I think post-show, I really just didn't have much trust in men,” she reflects. “I always just assumed the worst. I was like, ‘Nope, I'm just gonna get screwed over’.
“So it took a lot of patience for this man to make sure I felt comfortable as well, and he is the most patient man so I'm very, very lucky.”
