Bizarre MAFS detail during wedding baffles viewers: 'What happened?'

While most eyes were likely on the drama unfolding at 'judgemental' bride Tamara and Brent's wedding during the first episode of MAFS this season, viewers have also pointed out an odd detail spotted during a different couples' nuptials.

Single parents Selin and Anthony appeared to hit it off immediately, with the few family members present also seeming on board with the pairing. Married at First Sight viewers pointed out that the similarities when so far that even both the aunts present were sporting matching arm casts.

In footage from the ceremony and the reception, both Anthony and Selin's aunts appeared to have their arms strapped, and it was never mentioned or explained during the episode.

Fans quickly took to Twitter to point out the odd coincidence and speculate as to what might have happened.

"Why is nobody talking about both these aunts having a broken arm?" one fan wrote.

"The aunts have matching plasters. If this doesn’t work, there’s no hope," another mused.

"I need to know what happened!" was another comment, while a fourth wroth: "Selin’s aunt and Anthony’s aunt donning matching arm casts????? Icon behaviour."

Given Anthony's hobby as a pro wrestler, a few people also joked that maybe the families had also given it a whirl.

"Oh wow lol. Considering it's opposite hands it's almost arm wrestle gone wrong," one person said.

"I thought I was getting confused! Did they arm wrestle???" another questioned.

Selin is a single mum to her son who is about to turn three. And with no time for dating while juggling motherhood and a career, Selin’s MAFS wedding day was her first date in three years.

Coming from a close-knit, loud Turkish family, Selin says she is strong-willed and minded. She said she wants a “good man”, a gentleman who has his head firmly on his shoulders.
