MAFS’ Beck Zemek reveals major pregnancy struggle: ‘Never again’

After announcing on Monday that she is expecting her first child with her partner Ben Michell, Beck Zemek has now opened up about one of the biggest struggles she’s faced in her pregnancy journey so far.

The former Married At First Sight bride, whose baby is due in May 2022, said that she didn’t particularly enjoy filming the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice while pregnant.

“Never again will I do television while pregnant,” she told Daily Mail.

“I don't like having to wear oversized denim jackets and avocados in public,” she joked, referring to a costume she wore for one of the challenges on the reality TV show.

The publication also reports that her Celebrity Apprentice co-stars knew that she was with child during filming but were “sworn to secrecy”.

Following in the footsteps of fellow MAFS bride Martha Kalifatidis, Beck was recently announced as one of the 16 celebrities battling it out on next year's season of Celebrity Apprentice to win $100k for a charity of their choice.

She will be facing Lord Alan Sugar in the boardroom alongside The Block’s Ronnie Caceres, actress Jodi Gordon, singer Samantha Jade, comedian Jean Kittson, RHOM’s Gamble Breaux, TV host Darren McMullen, NRL legend Benji Marshall, Olympic gold medalist Bronte Campbell, Australian Ninja Warrior semi-finalist Eloni Vunakece, actor Vince Colosimo, social media superstar Carla from Bankstown, international supermodel Jarrod Scott, motivational speaker Turia Pitt and radio duo Will and Woody.

Beck took to Instagram on Monday to announce her baby news with a gallery of photos of herself and Ben at the beach, holding a sign saying the baby is due in May next year.

“The secret is out,” she captioned the post.

“Ben and I are over the moon to finally announce we are expecting a bundle of joy in May 2022! Thank you to everyone who has kept this a secret for such a long time!!! Also for all the wonderful support over the last few months, it truly means the world to us.

“Who knew the best was yet to come, this is such a miracle for us and we are already over filled with love for you little one.”

A number of Beck’s famous followers rushed to the comments to congratulate her, including several fellow reality TV stars.

“Congratulations to the both of you, amazing news,” Liam Cooper wrote, followed by Samuel Levi with, “Congrats you two! How amazing”.

“Me so happy,” Alana Lister added, while Sam Carraro said, “Congrats Beck, that’s amazing news!!”.

“FINALLY ANNOUNCED so happy for you both,” Beck’s Celebrity Apprentice co-star Carla from Bankstown commented, to which Beck replied: “And still you are the only person alive that knows the gender”.
