Just over a week after the identities of a number of next year’s Married At First Sight participants leaked online, new photos have emerged from one of the upcoming weddings.
Melinda Willis, a Brisbane-based flight attendant-turned-beautician, was snapped filming her wedding over the weekend at a very luxurious location.
The bride said ‘I do’ on The Jackson, a $16 million superyacht that has been described as one of the biggest in Sydney Harbour.
The boat took six years to be built and finally arrived in the harbour earlier this year after Covid-related delays.
With a capacity of up to 700 people, The Jackson can cost anywhere between $25,000 to $100,000 to hire.
Melinda was seen wearing a plunging wedding gown tied up at the back as she arrived at the boat, with her long blonde hair worn out over her shoulders.
She accessorised her look with a diamond necklace, matching earrings and a white rose bouquet.
It appears that Melinda was asked to film her entrance a number of times as she strutted along the dock while it began to rain.
Meanwhile, two bridesmaids were spotted wearing silk rose gold coloured dresses with strappy heels.
Who is Melinda Willis?
Although it’s currently unknown who Melinda is paired with in the experiment, there are plenty of details available about her life outside of the show.
According to social media, Melinda directs and owns several businesses in addition to working as an influencer.
She boasts a whopping 150,000 followers on Instagram, including former MAFS stars KC Osborne, Jules Robinson and Jason Engler.
A source close to Melissa told Daily Mail earlier this month that she’s wanted to join the show for years so finally being cast would be “a dream come true”.
Joshua and Mel
Melinda’s wedding come shortly after two participants were spotted filming their big day at Swifts, a $60 million heritage-listed gothic mansion in Sydney’s Darling Point.
A source tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the groom is Joshua White from Sydney and the bride is hairdresser Mel Shepps, who is also from Sydney.
Mel appeared to be very happy with the man the experts had paired her with, giving a wide smile to her friends in the audience as he read his vows.
The couple then exchanged rings and shared a romantic kiss, before Mel seemingly moved her hand onto her husband’s behind.
