Madonna's Brother Christopher Ciccone Dies At 63

Madonna’s younger brother, Christopher Ciccone, has died. He was 63.

Ciccone, one of Madonna’s seven siblings, died on Friday following a battle with cancer, his rep confirmed in a statement to People.

Ciccone died “peacefully” while surrounded by loved ones, including husband Ray Thacker, the statement said. Ciccone and Thacker tied the knot in 2016, according to The Hollywood Reporter

Ciccone’s death comes less than two weeks after he and Madonna’s stepmother, Joan Clare Ciccone, died on Sept. 24 from “a very aggressive cancer,” according to an online obituary.

In February last year, the pop icon’s older brother, Anthony Ciccone, who also battled cancer, died from respiratory failure and throat cancer. He was 66.

Christopher Ciccone worked closely with his superstar big sister early on during her career. He appeared as a backup dancer in several of her music videos, including “Everybody” and “Lucky Star.”

He went on to work as an art director for the artist’s Blond Ambition World Tour in 1990, as well as a production design lead for her The Girlie Show tour in 1993.

Ciccone is survived by his father, Silvio Ciccone, and siblings Madonna, Martin, Paula, Melanie, Jennifer and Mario.
