Chef Darren Robertson and his wife, food writer and stylist Magdalena Roze are already big deals in the restaurant world. Now they're dipping their toe into the world of design - with a new dining furniture range at Lounge Lovers.
The collection is called Graze and is inspired by the couple's newly renovated Byron Bay kitchen. It's designed to be a blend of modern sophistication and rustic charm, that add character and warmth to a space. The couple has two young children, Archie and Charlie, so understand that family dining furniture needs to be functional and durable, as well as stylish.
Most of the collection is made from solid oak and has a minimalist design which allows the natural beauty of the wood to take centre stage. "We can imagine these pieces in so many different homes and settings, whether they be an inner city apartment or terrace, a beach house or country barn," says Magdalena.
"We love that the pieces can be mixed and matched depending on one’s style and needs. A dining table can be effortlessly chic and functional with benches, elevated with the dining chairs - or a mix of both which is what we have in our home!"
The couple believes a dining table should be the centre of your home. "It's transformed the way we use our spaces for the better," says Magdalena. "Our dining table is now the 'hub' of the home whether it’s dinner, puzzles, kids activities or morning coffee."
Made from solid oak, this table has curved corners so it's super functional for young families, as well as looking ultra stylish. It's available in three different sizes and also comes in a black finish.
These give a nod to traditional spindle chairs but with softer edges and a lighter feel. They look great with the Graze dining table and are the perfect size and shape for long lunches or leisurely dinner parties.
This bench comes in three sizes so it will fit perfectly under your dining table. It's also great used as a seat somewhere else in your home. Like the rest of the collection, it's made from solid oak and also comes in a black finish.
