One of the fashion world’s night of nights, The Fashion Awards in London, did not disappoint with red carpet looks ranging from the understated, to the bold, and the downright wacky, but it was one model’s body-baring number that made a serious splash.

Swedish stunner Elsa Hosk stepped out in a bejewelled two-piece number featuring a tiny crop top and draping skirt that left her midriff exposed to the chilly London evening.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel wowed the crowd in the skirt, which featured a plunging waistline that showed off her highly-chiselled abs.

The luxurious draped material and her styled updo harked back to the 1920s, but the modern crop top had the model’s foot firmly stepping into the 2020s.

She wasn’t the only one pushing the boundaries either.

The sheer, the plunging and the barely-there

This year’s carpet was dripping with the sheer, the plunging and the barely-there, as celebrities embraced trends from side flank to naked dresses.

Another VS angel gave Elsa a serious run for her money in the eyebrow-raising department.

Kiwi Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell went for the trifecta in a plunging ruffled gown by Etro featuring a thigh-high split and sheer skirt that embraced the barely-there trend with aplomb.

Another riding the risqué train was British beauty Daisy Lowe.

The model went for a busty boudoir look with trawling black lace cinched in by a silk corset.

Not to be outdone, another British model followed suit with a revealing look to rival all the others.

Nicole Scherzinger rounded out the daring looks with a sexy number that perfectly followed up her Pussycat Dolls reunion that ruffled feathers yesterday.

The black beaded number had the 1920s feel of Elsa’s look, paired with the nude trend that set Naomi Campbell apart this year.

Safe to say naked is the new clothes, and as a new decade approaches we can’t imagine what trend is next.
