The Pussycat Dolls' racy reunion show slammed as 'disgusting' and 'borderline porn'

Nicole Scherzinger and rest The Pussycat Dolls made their comeback on The X Factor last night after a 10-year hiatus, however their energetic show has been slammed as ‘disgusting’ online.

The band, who announced they’re set to headline next year’s So Pop festival in Australia alongside Steps, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Jesse McCartney, appeared on the UK show dressed in a range of sheer bodysuits and PVC outfits.

Many viewers took offence to the women’s sultry dancing during their performance of backlog songs, including the smash hits, Buttons, Don’t Cha and When I Grow Up.

“Pussycat dolls were disgusting on the X Factor, it’s a family show ffs, anyone know what time the repeats on ??????,” one person wrote.

“What on earth is this from Pussycat Dolls? It's borderline pornography,” another person wrote.

“Whoever thought those outfits were a good idea for the Pussycat Dolls needs the sack. It's 8.15pm. Kids are awake. There's no need for us to see half dressed women, ever, let alone on family show at this time. It's disgusting and misogynistic,” another peeved-off viewer wrote.

While many people seemed offended by the performance, fans of The Pussycat Dolls loved it, commenting on Nicole’s Instagram post with a range of fire and love heart emojis.

“Amazing performance! You ladies still got it!!!,” one person wrote.

“You are all INCREDIBLE. absolute goals,” another person said.

Others just couldn’t see past the fact that Melody Thorton was a no-show on the night, despite the fact that she’s made it clear in the past she has no interest in a reunion.

“I’m not the same at 34 as I was when I was 24,’ she told The Sun on Sunday.

“‘So the idea of getting together again sounds like a nightmare.”
