MasterChef Australia fans were left confused after none of the 2024 judges went up on stage to collect the Logie award for Best Competition Reality Program, despite two of the judges, Poh Ling Yeow and Sofia Levin being at the awards ceremony.

The long-running reality series welcomed three new hosts this year - Jean-Christophe Novelli, Poh, and Sofia - after the tragic passing of Jock Zonfrillo in 2023 and the departure of Melissa Leong.

After winning its fifth Logie, Andy Allen appeared via a video message to do the acceptance speech, leaving fans asking why no one was accepting the award in person.

Fans were initially baffled as to why Poh or Sofia, who were in attendance, didn't get any stage time for the award.

"Poh is there at the Logies, why didn't she go up to get it?" one person asked on X. "Andy couldn’t be there. And everyone else who could’ve represented the show apparently," another tweeted.

"Love to know why Masterchef wasn't represented in the room tonight," someone else said, while someone else shared the same concerns. "MasterChef has what, four hosts? And not one of them was available tonight to accept the award?" they commented.

"They couldn't get ANYONE associated with #MasterChefAU or #SurvivorAU to be at the #Logies to potentially accept an award? Times really must be tough at Channel 10!" another person tweeted.

However, because the award was technically for the 2023 season, the last season Jock appeared on, it could explain why none of the new judges took to the stage to accept the Logie.

Andy paid tribute to his late co-star and friend Jock, in memory of the last season they filmed together before Jock's shock death in April 2023.

"To the network, it was a tough seasons for many reasons and you had to make some critical calls and every single one of them you got right. So thank you so much for the support," he said.

"To Endemol, 16 seasons in and we're still coming home with Logies, it just goes to show you guys are the best in the biz and you continue to show the best. To the audience, support for this show has been massive, thank you so much to each and every one of you for reaching out.

To my mate, Jock, it is a tough one because it is the last one we did together. I know he'll be up there having a whisky for us. You have one as well."
