Lindsay Lohan is giving an update on her planned Ann-Margret biopic.

The Our Little Secret actress was asked about the current status of the film during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Wednesday, Nov. 20.

"Are you working on that? I know she gave her blessing for you to star in it," said host Andy Cohen.

"We’re working on the story," said Lohan, 38. "It’s exciting."

Speaking about the potentially more physical elements considering Ann-Margret's dancing career, Lohan said, "It’s gonna be pretty intense," adding of the film, "It has to be the way that she wants it to be, so I really want it to be special in that way."

Back in February, PEOPLE caught up with Ann-Margret, 83, during the Women’s Image Network’s 25th Women’s Image Awards at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, California, where she reflected on feeling "so blessed" in her life.

The Viva Las Vegas and Bye, Bye Birdie actress said at the time that she isn't slowing down — in fact, she’d like to go a little faster.

“I love speed,” she said, clarifying, “Not the drug.”

The avid motorcyclist also said she “of course” still rides her Harley-Davidson. “It's lavender and it's got white daisies all over it,” she told PEOPLE. “There's flowers on the back fender and on the front fender. I love the speed.”

Born Ann-Margret Olsson in Sweden in 1941, the future performer moved to the U.S. as a child with her parents. She took dance lessons early on, and proved she had a knack for entertaining.

“I remember wanting to be in show business all my life,” she said at the time. “And I remember one day I said to Mother and Daddy, 'I want to talk to you. It's a very, very important thing for me and I want to get into show business.' "

As for Lohan, she is no stranger to biopics, having starred as Elizabeth Taylor in the 2012 television film Liz & Dick opposite Grant Bowler as Richard Burton.

Back in March, the Mean Girls actress told Bustle that she "really want(s) to play Ann-Margret," and that her team was working on getting a writer "for that story."

“She’s a triple threat, and she’s an amazing woman on top of that," Lohan added of the screen legend. "So I just really want to do her justice and help tell a great story for her.”
