Princess Mary throws son Prince Christian a lavish 18th birthday bash
The young royal celebrated in style after giving his first official speech.
Denmark's Prince Christian has officially turned 18, with the occasion marking big celebrations for the young royal.
The eldest son of Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik is second-in-line to the throne and turned 18 on October 15.
Now the proud parents have shared never-before-seen photos of Prince Christian over the years, marking his milestone birthday.
On the Danish royal family's Instagram account, a new series of photos were uploaded with a heartwarming caption.
"From child to adult. Seen from the parents' camera roll," the caption stated.
Photos shared included baby pictures, the family exploring Denmark and a photo of Christian looking dapper as a young man, before going on to show more photos of Christian throughout the years, including visits to Australia, Christian with a temporary tattoo, and many happy snaps of the prince and his siblings and parents.

A documentary about the young heir also premiered the night before Christian's birthday, titled Prince Christian – A Royal Journey. The documentary follows Christian's rise from baby to young man, with a focus on how he's preparing for his eventual role as King.

Taking to Instagram, the family also uploaded a series of videos and pictures of Prince Christian's birthday festivities, including a surprise concert for the prince, gifted by his grandmother Queen Margrethe.
The gala also saw Prince Christian address a crowd in his first official speech.
Surrounded by young people from all over the nation, the Prince acknowledged his love for his country.
"I must find my path, even if it leads somewhere known. I have roots in many places in the world, and I enjoy travelling. But home will always be here. Because I love my country," he said.
"Thank you to all the young people who are here today. It feels really good to be surrounded by so many peers.
We are not the same, but we stand in the same place in life. We have something in common. And tonight is new for all of us. This makes it a little easier. And I need that right now," the Prince said.
