Rice puddings all round!
There's nothing better than a Lebanese feast, and El Jannah - which means paradise in Arabic - is a restaurant that knows exactly how to deliver. Their menu is based on simple, fresh Arabic food after its founder Andre opened its doors to try and recreate memories of his small hometown Lebanese village.
He'd moved to Sydney several years earlier but still had hankerings for the small garden where his family grew vegetables, and the smell of his mum making flatbread and cooking chickens over an open wood fire. So, he opened El Jannah in 1998 - and soon there were queues of people out of the door, all wanting a taste of the flavours he loved so much.
Today, El Jannah is known for its traditional Arabic food; charcoal chicken, garlic sauce, flatbread and tabouleh with fresh parsley are all staples on their menu.
Now, when you buy a family meal online, you can get two free rice puddings. The creamy desserts, usually $4.60 each, are the perfect way to finish off your meal. If you really want to push the boat out, you can also order Cookies and Cream Rice Pudding, or Biscoff Cookie Crumb Rice Pudding.
