Farmer Wants A Wife 2024: Meet the 5 new farmers looking for love

Following one of the most successful seasons yet, Channel Seven has finally announced the five farmers set to star in this year’s season of Farmer Wants A Wife.

A new trailer released on Wednesday morning shows that Samantha Armytage and co-host Natalie Gruzlewski will return to the reality show to assist the men on their quest for love.

“This is not made up. From the moment they meet, whatever happens, happens,” Sam says at the beginning of the teaser clip.

“Five new farmers will put their heart in the hands of a stranger.”

In addition to some budding romances, the trailer teases plenty of drama this season after one farmer chooses to “get away from the farm” when he receives an unknown text message.

One contestant is also shown storming out of dinner after finding out that her farmer had kissed another woman, while someone else is in tears after being questioned about their lack of effort.

The climax of the trailer is host Sam Armytage announcing something “that has never ever happened before on Farmer Wants A Wife.

While Seven is yet to announce a premiere date for the show, here are the five farmers hoping to find a wife this season.

Farmer Bert

Farmer Bert is a 30-year-old fourth-generation pineapple farmer from Wamuran, Queensland, located 50 minutes out of Brisbane.

His ideal woman is someone who can easily slot into his life and will be loved by his friends and family - especially his nan.

“I also need somebody that’s independent as well,” he says. “Sassy, fun, outgoing, preferably likes the ocean. But if she doesn’t, that’s also fine. I can deal with that.”

Bert admits in the trailer that it’s “an intimidating feeling meeting a beautiful woman”, and he is shown completely lost for words upon meeting a stunning brunette.

Farmer Dustin

Farmer Dustin is a 26-year-old third-generation mixed cattle, sheep and crop farmer from Condobolin, NSW.

He says having a partner would be the “pinnacle of life” and is looking for someone with a positive mindset.

“I want a girl who wants to come out here and make a go of it,” he shares. “Wants to have a crack, not scared, resilient and have fun.”

Farmer Joe

Farmer Joe is a 33-year-old cattle and sheep farmer from the Snowy Mountains region on The Monaro.

He is hoping to find someone to “come for a horse ride” with him, and if she doesn’t know how to ride he would like her to learn.

“I think that’s the whole thing with me, just be willing and open to try and have a go is really important to me,” he says.

Farmer Tom

Farmer Tom is a 22-year-old cattle and cropping farmer from Nagambie, Victoria - making him the youngest farmer this season.

After being told he has “a bit of a resting bitch face”, he’s hoping to find a woman that can make him laugh.

“All I kind of really want is an equal,” he says. “Same level mentally and motivated and just kind of someone to bounce ideas off and motivate each other.”

Things appear to go well for Tom on the show as the trailer features him telling a woman on a date that he feels “very strongly” about her.

Farmer Dean

Rounding out the group is Farmer Dean, a 25-year-old third-generation cattle farmer from Kandanga, Queensland.

Dean describes himself as “pretty laidback and easygoing”, and his ideal woman is somebody who makes him laugh and smile.

“Love means the world to me,” he says. “It doesn’t matter how strong you are, everyone gets emotional.”
