Farmer Wants A Wife's Samantha Armtyage has revealed her hopes for the new season and the types of farmers she wants to apply for next year's season.

The host has revealed she thinks people who run vineyards, as well as truffle and macadamia farmers, would be great applicants for the show.

More often than not, the show will feature farmers from sheep and cattle farms, with this year's stars Brenton, Brad, Matt and Andrew all coming from that background.

Speaking of the 2024 season, Sam shared that the show is currently casting, and they will begin shooting later in the year.'

"I thought David was really successful and really interesting ... with his apple orchard in Queensland, because it was just a little bit out of the norm," Sam told 7Life of the 2023 star.

She added that she thinks it would be "fascinating" for audiences to learn more about "macadamia farmers around northern New South Wales".

Sam said it would be interesting to see "what farmers are doing in unusual ways (and) products we don’t see all the time", adding that she doesn't want this to take away from the sheep and cattle farmers, who she loves.

"Some of these other places that are not the norm would be really fascinating to look at and, I’m sure, incredibly beautiful," the host said.
