Chris Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky has upset fans with her latest Instagram post after she took her 12-year-old daughter India Rose to a polo event. "Amazing day at @magicmillions polo and show jumping event! So nice to share my passion with my daughter and enjoy time with people that love horses," Elsa captioned the post of the mother and daughter day out.

However, her post has once again angered animal fans — it was just last week that Chris Hemsworth and Elsa came under fire from angry animal lovers as well as nonprofit organisation PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) after taking their kids to a local rodeo night.

PETA slammed the actions of the Hemsworth family, with PETA Senior Campaigns Advisor Mimi Bekhechi telling Yahoo Lifestyle that the rodeo is 'by definition cruelty to animals'. "Elsa Pataky shouldn’t be the only one whose stomach drops at the sight of her daughter riding a bull— anyone who cares about animals should give these spectacles of suffering a Thor-sized berth," Mimi said.

After showing off the photos of her and India Rose at the polo event, animal lovers once again jumped into the comments section to have their say.

"Animals are not vehicles for you to ride. Leave animals tf alone and #govegan," one person wrote. "Rich family with no compassion for animals. you should rather donate! I already know why I like Miley more.." another said.

"If you love horses then you shouldn't be supporting racing," someone else commented, with another saying, "Beware of horse welfare in those kind of events."

After the Hemsworths' faced backlash for taking their kids to the rodeo, PETA told Yahoo Lifestyle that the rodeo is, by definition, cruelty to animals.

"Rodeo participants use electric prods, flank straps, and spurs to burn, wound, terrorise, and provoke animals who are trying to flee for their lives. Baby animals are mercilessly chased, choked, and tackled to the ground, and gentle bulls, steers, and horses commonly sustain broken bones, punctured lungs, snapped necks, or torn muscles," Mimi said. "The rodeo is, by definition, cruelty to animals."

Online, people had mixed opinions about the family outing, with some sticking up for the family and others outraged.

"This should stop. What a stupid example for kids," one person ranted. "Nothing to be proud of!!" "This is awful! Animal abuse should not be celebrated," another agreed.

There were also some people in the comments who defended the family.

"The animals are not hurt. Rodeo cattle and horses are well taken care of. RSPCA makes sure of that," one person said. "They buck to get the human off. These are only small steers. Kids are having fun, safety gear on. I love how normal a life the Hemsworths lead for their kids!"

"Omg this is so cool , how brave," another commented.
