Ledisi’s Super Bowl 2025 ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ Outfit Features a White Tailored Suit With Dramatic Flowing Skirt

Grammy-winning R&B singer and New Orleans native Ledisi took the stage at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans for a “Lift Every Voice and Sing” performance ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl. The Greater New Orleans High School Choral Collective backed her.

Ledisi wore a structured white suit with a tailored jacket featuring sharp lapels, a cinched waist and a draped peplum detail. The ensemble incorporated a flowing floor-length skirt overlay attached to high-waisted pants, creating a dramatic silhouette that moved fluidly during the performance. The wide-leg trousers extended to the ground, subtly covering her shoes.

Her accessories included gold rings and a delicate pendant necklace. She wore white nail polish that coordinated with her overall look. Her hair was styled in voluminous, side-parted curls and swept to one side.

Since 2021, “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” known as “The Black National Anthem,” has been part of the Super Bowl pregame lineup. Alicia Keys performed it that year, followed by Mary Mary in 2022, Sheryl Lee Ralph in 2023, and Andra Day in 2024. Ledisi’s performance continued the tradition, with the choral ensemble dressed in gold robes behind her, creating a contrast against her monochromatic white outfit.

The Super Bowl LIX, the NFL’s championship game for the 2024 season, takes place on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. This marks the 11th time New Orleans has hosted the Super Bowl, tying with Miami for the most by any city. Kendrick Lamar is set to perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.
