It seems that the Super Bowl crowd this year isn’t keen to welcome Taylor Swift with open arms, as the pop star was aggressively booed during Sunday’s game when she appeared on the jumbotron.

The Folklore artist was in attendance at the New Orleans Superdome Sunday night cheering on partner Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs as they battled it out against the Philadelphia Eagles. She was seen alongside rapper Ice Spice and stylist Ashley Avignone.

At one point during the game’s first quarter, an audience camera was singling out celebrities at the event showing actors Adam Sandler and Paul Rudd sitting side-by-side before panning to Swift.

As soon as the camera landed on Swift, however, what lucidly sounded like boo’s from the crowd erupted and prompted the singer to turn to the camera while looking confused.

Some users on X pointed out that it seemed that Swift asked “What’s going on” after the crowd reacted.

Another user described Swift’s response as a “glare” to the crowd.

President Donald Trump, who was also in appearance, posted a comparison of the crowd’s reaction to his arrival in comparison to that of Swift; an obvious boast given the pair’s tense history.

The moment even caused Swift’s pal, Serena Williams–who made a cameo in Kendrick Lamar’s NFL Super Bowl half-time show–to post her support of the pop star to X: “I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!“

Meanwhile, NFL columnist Pat Leonard wrote on X: “Taylor Swift just got booed into oblivion. She gave a good side-eye to it just before this ha. Good sport.”

It seems that the stadium tonight is mainly occupied by Eagles fans, as the Chiefs were also heavily booed upon their entrance earlier Sunday. Swift is evidently one of the Chiefs’ most loyal fans which the crowd didn’t seem to take lightly to.
