During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in February, the star admitted she started lying about her age in 2000. She was just 28 but the person she was dating was 21 and broke up with her for being "too old".
She claimed the be 22 for the following two years but felt she had to stop lying about her age so instead told people she was "over 21".
"And then IMDb figured out my real age, and then, so it started appearing places and it was freaking me out. I was having such anxiety," she said.
"I started unpacking these stories about being older.
"The stories were that I wasn't hireable, I wasn't datable, I wasn't effable over a certain age – apparently the age was like 27 [or] 28 — and then I worked through all that."
