Modern Family's Sofia Vergara stuns in 'insane' bikini snap at 50

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has wowed fans after she posted an "insane" bikini snap during a tropical getaway with her husband Joe Manganiello.

The 50-year-old posted a series of snaps on Instagram, but one caught the fans' attention. The photo shows the star flaunting her incredible body as she took a selfie through a mirror.

The Colombian-born actress was wearing a classic black bikini top with matching bottoms that were held together at the sides with delicate gold rings. Her hair fell loosely around her face as she posed casually for the photo.

Fans and celebrity pals flocked to the comments of her photo to compliment the star on how amazing she looked.

"You look insane," celebrity jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz wrote.

"Absolutely beautiful," a fan commented.

"Sensational," another wrote while a wowed fan said, "Absolutely breathtaking".

Others could not get over how incredible the star looked at 50.

"How old are you again? 24?" one questioned.

"She's hot for a 20-year-old and she's 50??!!!? No frigging way," another shocked fan wrote.

"Unbelievably gorgeous for our age! I am 57 years old and can not believe you are in your 50s," a third praised.

Despite always being content with her body, the star told Shape magazine in 2020 her approach to exercise changed after she noticed some changes when she hit 40.

"I'll say, 'Sunday? No, it's the Lord's day; I can't work out," she told the publication.

"I hit 40 and I started seeing a softness everywhere on my body ... I knew it was time to do something, so I did."
