Lauren Sánchez Turns Heads in $2,890 Alexander McQueen Dress — and a $6k Purse — at Star-Studded Charity Event
The 54-year-old leaned into a floral theme at the 6th anniversary This Is About Humanity soirée
Lauren Sánchez knows how to stop traffic with her style choices.
On Saturday, Aug. 24, the 54-year-old journalist and philanthropist brought her bold and sexy style to a Los Angeles charity event, donning a floral-inspired design by Alexander McQueen.
Posing with fellow guests like Eva Longoria and Elsa Marie Collins, Sánchez stunned in a strapless version of a $2,890 satin dress from the high-fashion label. The dress features a large, long-stemmed rose printed over a sleek black satin silhouette. Sánchez accessorized with a $6,000 black clutch purse by Tyler Ellis.
She also wore black pointed-toe pumps, a choker necklace and gold bangle bracelets. Her black bob was styled into loose waves by celebrity hair stylist Chris Dylan. Sánchez's makeup — featuring subtle winged liner and glossy pink lips — was courtesy of makeup artist Monika Blunder.
The Los Angeles event was hosted by This Is About Humanity. Founded in 2018 by Elsa Marie Collins, Zoe Winkler Reinis and Yolanda Selene Walther-Meade, the organization is dedicated to raising awareness for the humanitarian challenges at the US-Mexico Border.
The soirée took place at at Stacey and Henry Winkler’s home and drew other guests such as Julianne Hough and Jordana Brewster.

Sánchez has become known for her sexy sense of style. Earlier this summer, she stepped out in West Hollywood for a girls' night out with Brooks Nader and Elsa Collins in a formfitting black latex midi dress with spaghetti straps.
The look was similar to the red latex look she had recently worn to celebrate her son Nikko Gonzalez’s college graduation. Sánchez shares Nikko, 23, with ex-husband Tony Gonzalez.

In May, Sánchez dressed to impress for her Met Gala debut. For fashion's biggest night, which she attended with fiancé Jeff Bezos, the star wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown with a floral, shattered-glass-inspired skirt.
According to Vogue, it was partially inspired Louis Comfort Tiffany’s iconic glasswork. Sánchez told the outlet, “In my head, it’s definitely a metaphor for life, because it’s a little bit about all your broken pieces in life and putting those pieces back together. It's not just a dress. It is really a piece of art."
