Larry David’s Daughter Cazzie Does Spot-On Impression of Her Dad
Larry David’s daughter Cazzie mimicked her dad’s laissez-faire late-night appearances with a spot-on impression.
Cazzie David dropped by Late Night with Seth Meyers Monday night to promote her new movie. And Meyers asked her whether her famous father is a “good resource” while preparing for interviews.
“No he’s not,” David said of the Curb Your Enthusiasm star, “I mean, he gives the worst advice... ‘cause he was like, you know, ‘Don’t prepare anything.’”
“‘You don’t want to prepare anything. Everyone’s gonna know you came up with some quirky story. It’s performative,’” Cazzie said her father told her before sitting down with Meyers. But the alternative, as laid out by her dad’s example from his many late-night sit-downs, is not much better, she said.
“If you’ve seen him on late night, like, he spends the entire time, like, he’ll sit down. He’ll just be like, ‘This is a nice chair,’” she said, imitating her dad’s unique intonation.
“‘You ever sit in these chairs?’” she continued in his voice. “‘Do you do this with the legs?’” she said, crossing hers, “Or, you know, ‘Anyone ever lie down on this one?’” as she patted the chair next to her.
Meyers had to agree. “Yeah, I think he might have done that exactly,” he said laughing. “It’s a very good impression.”
But Cazzie had a little more in her as she kept poking fun at her dad. He’ll spend “the entire segment” she said, touching Meyers’ desk, “You know, just, ‘This is interesting over here.’”
Cazzie is one of two daughters the Curb star shares with ex-wife Laurie David, who just last week did some roasting of her own when she slammed Curb star Cheryl Hines for “setting women back decades” for supporting husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his pursuit of a Trump cabinet position.
