Landman Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Fire up those pump jacks: Landman Season 2 is likely on the way.

Paramount+’s oil drama starring Billy Bob Thornton released its Season 1 finale Sunday, and the streamer has yet to greenlight a sophomore run. But we’re already hungry for more Midland, Texas, drama — and our optimism about a Season 2 is buoyed by what series star Demi Moore has said about continuing the series.

Our sister site Deadline reports that, while speaking to reporters in May 2024 ahead of Landman‘s launch, Moore noted that she was done filming Season 1 “and I’m excited for us to start the second, which will be at the beginning of next year.”

Season 1 of the series, co-created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) and Christian Wallace, ended on a traumatic note: Thornton’s Tommy was made head of MTex Oil while Monty (played by Jon Hamm) was incapacitated due to needing a heart transplant. When the tycoon later died, Tommy’s new role was cemented, and Monty’s widow, Cami (played by Moore), charged Tommy with closing a high risk/high reward deal. WHICH CAST MEMBERS ARE RETURNING FOR LANDMAN SEASON 2?

Paramount+ has not yet released the official cast list for Landman‘s second season. The Season 1 cast included Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Demi Moore, Kayla Wallace, Jacob Lofland, Paulina Chávez, Michelle Randolph, James Jordan and Colm Feore. Also likely to show up in Season 2: Andy Garcia, who made his debut as cartel boss Gallino in the Season 1 finale.

One Season 1 player who will not return in the show’s sophomore run is Jon Hamm, who played MTex Oil tycoon Monty, a character who died in the season-ender.
