Lainey Wilson has had a busy year! She opened her very own bell bottom-themed bar on Lower Broadway, released a brand-new album, hard-launched her boyfriend, Duck, on Instagram, joined forces with Brooks & Dunn for a reimagined recording of “Play Something Country,” and earned not one but four CMA nominations. With so much going on, many fans have been wondering if the “Whirlwind” singer had time to make her way back West for the much-anticipated return of Yellowstone on Sunday, November 10. And good news: She did!

A Paramount representative confirmed that Lainey will reprise her role as Abby, a hopeful country musician and the love interest of Yellowstone rancher Ryan (Ian Bohen).

While details of Abby’s Season 5B arc have yet to be disclosed, fans can expect to see Lainey in her element, as, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, she descended upon Cowtown on September 3 to film a concert scene.

As iconic as Lainey’s real-life concerts have become, the 32-year-old singer holds a special place in her heart for her on-screen performances.

"Taylor Sheridan, he called, and we had become friends after he had put a couple of songs in the show," Lainey told Hoda Kotb on the TODAY co-anchor’s Making Space podcast back in July. "And I realized just how beneficial it was to have music in that show because people were coming to my show being like, 'I found you through the Yellowstone soundtrack.'"

Lainey wasn’t the only one to notice how special it was for her music and voice to be showcased on the show. Taylor did, too.

"Well, Taylor Sheridan told me, because we were on the phone, he said, 'I've got an idea,' and I'm like, 'This man is full of crazy ideas.' He is. He's crazy," Lainey shared on TODAY. "But he said, 'I want to create a character specifically for you, and I want you to sing your music and kind of be yourself, but go by a musician named Abby.'"

"I said, 'Well, you know, I've never acted a day in my life.' And he said, 'Well, most musicians that I work with, without even knowing it, they're actors and actresses because, at times, you got to stand up on that stage. And maybe you just lost somebody the night before, maybe you're going through a breakup—maybe, who knows?' But you got to hide all these feelings when you get up on that stage because it's not about you."

All we know is, Yellowstone may be brimming with dynamic drama but we’re thrilled to hear our girl will be back on our screens.

Yellowstone 5B premieres on Sunday, November 10 at 8 p.m. ET on Paramount Network.
