Congratulations are in order for Miss Lainey Wilson and her beau, Devlin “Duck” Hodges!
On Wednesday, February 12, the “Whirlwind” singer posted the update we’ve all been waiting for.
“4x4xU forever ❤️,” she captioned a carousel of photos from her engagement.
In the photos, she and Duck are standing, embracing, and kissing on the front doorstep of a grand brick home with white columns. Candles, red roses, and framed photos are strewn about, hinting at the surprise that Lainey came home to. And let us just say: Duck understood the assignment when it came to Lainey’s ring. As you may recall, the 32-year-old singer recently spoke out about her dream engagement ring.
“I don’t care what shape it is, but I want to be walking with a limp,” she half-joked.
It’s safe to say, Duck was listening. The former NFL star proposed with a sparkling stunner of a ring, which he displayed in a cowboy hat-shaped ring box to nod to Lainey’s career and ever-present accessory.
It’s also safe to say that Lainey was pleased with his pick. At the end of the carousel, she posted a silly clip of her limping down the front porch stairs, showing off just how heavy her new bling is. Details on the exact size and designer of the ring have yet to be disclosed but the pictures and video say it all.
“Yesssss congratulations to you both,” one Instagrammer commented on Lainey’s post. “New Ring Goofin’,” someone else exclaimed. “And that’s a boulder!!!!! Not a rock. A BOULDER,” another fan chimed in.
Lainey and Duck have been dating since 2021, so fans have been all too eager to see their favorite country star get her happily ever after. Now, we can’t wait to see what they plan for the wedding!
