Lady Gaga Performs ‘Hold My Hand’ In French Quarter Ahead Of Super Bowl LIX Kickoff

As Super Bowl LIX prepared to kick off in New Orleans, Lady Gaga serenaded the French Quarter.

Donned in all white, the 14x Grammy winner sat at a piano on a stage in the middle of the street as she performed her single ‘Hold My Hand’ from the soundtrack of Top Gun: Maverick (2022).

More from Deadline

Gaga’s pregame concert came after she headlined the Super Bowl LI halftime show in 2017. This year’s game will feature a halftime show headlined by Kendrick Lamar with SZA, as well as Jon Batiste performing the National Anthem.

Although Tom Cruise’s ears must have burning during the Top Gun soundtrack moment, he did not make an appearance during Gaga’s set. The 4x Oscar nominee is expected to make an appearance at this year’s game in New Orleans, where the Philadelphia Eagles are playing two-time defending champs, the Kansas City Chiefs.

In addition to the star-studded musical lineup, those in attendance at Super Bowl LIX include Taylor Swift, Kevin Costner, Paul Rudd, Quinta Brunson, Pete Davidson, Miles Teller, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson and Jesse Tyler Williams.

Super Bowl LIX, scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT, will be broadcast live on Fox, stream for free on Tubi and be available via a Spanish-language broadcast on Fox Deportes and Telemundo and across NFL digital properties with unauthenticated access across devices.
