TVLine has reached out to Netflix. Representatives for Gaga had no comment.
In a video released in September for Netflix’s Geeked Week, Catherine Zeta-Jones — who plays Wednesday’s mother Morticia Addams — promised that “Season 2 is going to be bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine.” And don’t feel bad that you only get to see bits and pieces: “If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed,” series star/producer Jenna Ortega warns in a perfect Wednesday deadpan. “And I’m not that generous.” (Watch the full video here.)
Season 2 of Wednesday is set to premiere on Netflix next year, sans two cast members. Percy Hynes White (who played Xavier Thorpe) and Naomi J. Ogawa (who played Yoko Tanaka), both series regulars in Season 1, will not return for Season 2. Ortega has already revealed that Season 2 is ditching the love triangle between Hynes White’s Xavier and Hunter Doohan’s Tyler Galpin in order to “lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more.”
Gaga’s previous TV work includes American Horror Story, Gossip Girl (as herself), The Simpsons and The Sopranos. She also has appeared in movies like A Star Is Born, House of Gucci and Joker: Folie à Deux. In 2019, she won the Best Original Song Academy Award for “Shallow” from A Star Is Born; she also was nominated for Best Actress for her performance in the film.
