Lady Gaga Cast In ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 At Netflix

Lady Gaga is set to appear on the second season of Wednesday on Netflix, sources tell Deadline.

A sped-up version of Gaga’s 2011 song “Bloody Mary” from her Born This Way album went viral when fans of the series included it with a clip of Jenna Ortega dancing.

Details of Gaga’s role and how extensive it is remain unclear.

Filming for Wednesday Season 2 began in late April 2024 in Ireland. In August, while promoting Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Ortega told Extra that four episodes of the series had been shot.

Gaga joining Wednesday will be her latest acting role following her turn as Harley Quinn in Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie à Deux, where she co-starred opposite Joaquin Phoenix. The singer has previously starred in films like 2021’s House of Gucci and 2018’s A Star Is Born.

At Netflix’s Tudum event in 2023, the Wednesday cast teased that the new season would include more Addams family members. Ortega said she “would love to see Cousin Itt,” while the other cast members said they wanted to see Grandmama Addams, who has since been revealed to be played by Joanna Lumley.

The cast of Wednesday Season 2 includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Wednesday’s mom Morticia Addams; Luis Guzmán (Wednesday’s dad Gomez Addams); Isaac Ordonez (Wednesday’s younger brother Pugsley Addams); and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Sheriff Deputy Ritchie Santiago).

Additions to the cast include Billie Piper as Capri, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.

Deadline has reached out for comment to representatives for Gaga and Netflix.
