Kyle Sandilands unleashes on Prince Harry and Meghan: 'Screw them!'
Radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands has blasted Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle after their royal tour of New York, calling the Sussexes out for using a private jet in a rant that left his co-host Jackie O speechless.
"There's the Duchess and Duch-ee of Broke, or whatever they are, over in New York," he said during the final moments of The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Reports suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex travelled from Los Angeles to New York in a private jet, kicking off their tour with a visit to the One World Trade Center last Thursday.
They also visited a local school where Meghan hosted a reading of her children's book The Bench, and took to the stage as part of a Global Citizen Live event in Central Park.
"Flying in a private jet over to New York to save the planet, everyone," Kyle continued in his rant, calling the royal couple out for their 'gas-guzzling' mode of transportation.

"Look at me in my $30,000 Dolce [& Gabbana] dress! But you people, save the planet. Now, we're getting back in our private jet and flying back to Los Angeles.
"We've all got to not go anywhere on holidays, and use paper cups. But they're flying around in jets. Screw them! I'm doing the private jet [thing] too," he concluded angrily.
Jackie O could be heard awkwardly laughing, not sure how to respond, before saying: "Phew".
The trip came just four months after Harry said climate change was one of "the most pressing issues we are facing".
And it's not the first time they have been called out over the topic either.
Just last month, Prince Harry was slammed as a "total hypocrite" after it was revealed he flew home from a polo match on a private jet.
"This appears to be enormously hypocritical, given all his talk about climate change," royal author Tom Quin told The Sun at the time.
"Harry seems to see himself as someone who guides the rest of the world and that his own behaviour isn’t relevant. It is a huge blind spot."
"Yesterday Prince Harry took a private jet home from a polo match — after lecturing us all about how climate change is one of the world’s 'most pressing issues'," one Twitter agreed. "A total hypocrite. Elite environmentalism is about telling the little people to know their place."
He has previously defended his private jet use, addressing the backlash at a Travalyst event in 2019.
Harry said, "I spend 99 per cent of my life travelling the world by commercial. Occasionally there needs to be an opportunity [to fly privately] based on a unique circumstance to ensure that my family are safe – it’s as simple as that.
"For me it’s about balance. It’s not a decision I would want to take, but if I have to do that, I will ensure that I balance out the impact that I have."
He also insisted he "offsets" his emissions by donating to renewable energy incentives and plants trees.
